NRY Architects, established in 1992, was founded upon the principles of providing consistent innovative designs and commitment to quality. The practise has since grown into a multi-design discipline offering architectural services, urban planning, interior design and project management services. Currently we have over 120 staff; with 60 architects and 28 staffs under technical and management. NRY Architects has always kept abreast with cutting edge information on technology in design applications. Over the years the office has evolved into a highly computerised practice both in design, production information and management. On design, the in-house multimedia design capability is equipped with the latest 3D modeling and animation software for design studies and presentations. The studio is networked of 90 graphic workstations to fast track the production and management of design information. NRY Architects has over the years, successfully completed a variety of projects, notably resort development, corporate offices, hotels and condominiums throughout Malaysia. NRY Architects has performed services for some major hotel and office developments throughout Malaysia, including Hilton Batang Ai Resort - which as awarded the 'FIABCI Award of Distinction 1995 - Resort Development Category'. In 1994, the company undertook the design of the KLCC-Menara Maxis project. Menara Maxis is a 49-storey, state of the art, office development that formed part of the North West development of KLCC that comprises the Petronas Twin Towers and the shopping mall, Suria KLCC. In master planning projects, the practice has successfully completed the masterplan of the Legends Golf and Country Resort at Sedenak, Johor covering over 1,000 acres and master plan mixed development which is incorporated between IGB and PKNS covering 800 acres in Kundang, Selangor. NRY Architects has also completed 500 acres of redevelopment planning at Bandar Seri Alam, Johor.
The project management division of the practice has assumed the role of project managers for our esteemed clients in executing a variety of architectural and interior design projects, including the refurbishment of Kuala Lumpur Hilton, corporate offices of Pernas Securities and Tradewind Berhad and the office redevelopment of the diversified banking group of CIMB. Currently, we are managing the infrastructure works of KL Metropolis for NAZA TTDI. Over the years, NRY Architects has successfully completed various institutional projects for the Federal Government and Local Authorities. The government projects that have been successfully completed are SK Seri Alam in Kulai, Johor; SK Tasik Apong in Sg. Petani, Kedah; and SMKA Gombak, Matriculation College in Selangor. Currently, NRY Architects is in a process of developing the design of International Islamic University campus in Pahang. In the year 1998, NRY Architects was appointed by Encorp Systembilt Sdn. Bhd. to provide design and architectural services for the purposes of constructing and completing the development of 10,000 units of teachers' quarters throughout Malaysia using cutting edge pre-fabrication technology. The projects is successfully completed and all 10,000 units has already been handed over to the governments. In 2005, NRY Architects have been appointed to carry out design works to the Four Seasons Centre, Kuala Lumpur that consist of a 65 storey residential tower, consist of the Four Seasons Hotel & Service apartment and a retail podium. The total development is in excess of 1 million Sq Ft. The Four Seasons Residence will be the tallest residential tower in South East Asia when the project completes in the year 2012. Our expertise in hospitality and commercial projects continue with the redevelopment and rebranding of the Sheraton Perdana Langkawi into The Westin Resort & Spa. Current portfolio includes the 60 storey The Millennium Service Apartment in Kuala Lumpur and the rebranding of the Sheraton Hanoi in Vietnam. In the year 2006 to 2010, NRY Architects has been consistently nominated as the TOP TEN ARCHITECTS by the Building Construction Industry Asia, BCI Asia in Malaysia.
