KL’s Grand Maris Suite and Rawang’s Youth Transit & Affordable homes projects to kick-off soon
NRY ARCHITECTS, Malaysia’s leading architectural practice, has collaborated with the prestigious property developers, BT Bina Group Sdn. Bhd. and TISY Sdn. Bhd. in the two much-awaited residential projects located in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur and Rawang, Selangor respectively. In the recent soft launch event officiated by the Housing and Local Government Minister, YB Puan Hajah Zuraida Kamarudin at the Bangsar Trade Centre (BTC) in Kuala Lumpur, it has unveiled the latest NRY Architects’ architectural portfolios, among others, the 33-storey SoHo and serviced apartment tower called the Grand Maris Suite @ BTC and the Youth Transit and Affordable Homes in The Valley Hill, Rawang, Selangor.
The Grand Maris Suite is the brand-new hospitality project developed by BT Bina Group Sdn. Bhd. to cater and provide premium segment with high-quality hospitality services for the holidaymakers and business travellers. Strategically located at the BTC complex located in Jalan Pantai Baru, Bangsar, facing the bustling Federal Highway, this is the final component of BTC of the remaining tower block located in the northern parcel of the development. The BTC complex is known among the earliest transit-oriented developments (TOD) in Kuala Lumpur, with an integrated Kerinchi LRT station operating since the year 1997.
With its personalise design in every suite, it represents a new generation of lifestyle hotels and service suites that offer modern-minded individuals and business travellers comfort and style in a relaxed atmosphere. The visitors and residents will experience the minimal transition of checking in and out at the front desk and with a smooth connection from the street to room and facilities seamlessly. To be built by the world-class contractor, the China Rail Construction Corporation Malaysia Berhad (CRCC Malaysia), the Grand Maris Suite is slated to be completed by March 2022.
During the same event on 16th June 2020, the minister has also launched the kick-off of 3,000 units of Youth Transit and Affordable Homes project in The Valley Hill, Rawang. The project is a strategic joint venture between Bina Group Sdn. Bhd. with Tan Sri Syed Mohd Yusof Tun Syed Nasir of TISY Sdn. Bhd. to develop 383 acres of a township in Rawang, Selangor. TISY Sdn. Bhd. has inked a development agreement earlier in 2019 with the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) to develop the affordable apartments, especially for unmarried wage earners, that will be completed with commercial units and communal facilities.
Ar. Yew Bu Hwa, the Principal Director of NRY Architects, on behalf of Bina Group Sdn. Bhd. has presented the master plan concept of the township to the minister and other distinguished guests during the event. According to Ar. Yew Bu Hwa, the project is due to start in the third quarter of 2020 after obtaining the necessary approval from the relevant authorities. It will be constructed using the pre-fabricated and IBS technology to further expedite the construction process, as well as to control the quality of the project. According to the work plan, the first phase of 1,000 Youth Transit Home units will be completed and delivered to the government within 18 months from the starting work, which is expected ready by the year 2021.
