NRY’s BIM Outreach to UTM KL

NRY’s BIM Outreach to UTM KL

February 10, 2022 Activities, Announcement 0

NRY Architects always believes in the greater benefits and long term implications of adopting advanced technology in the construction sector. One of the most hands-on applications is the Building Information Modelling (BIM) which has been widely used in the various typologies of our construction projects.

In view of this, a local renowned technical institution, the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has invited our Head of BIM Department, Ts. Muhammad Hazim for an online sharing session with the faculty members and students of architecture. Hosted by Pn Wafa from the UTM Space Kuala Lumpur campus, the session uncovers the various aspects of BIM, with regard to its application in architecture and construction stages.

The session is part of our regular engagement with local architectural schools under our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts through educational activities. Spanning for over two hours, the talk also discusses its implementation in various phases, BIM experience in the Common Data Environment (CDE) and selected case studies, as well as how to setup up your own BIM workstation in place.

The talk session has piqued many students who attended the session on how it can be later used and implement in either their studies or workforce later on. Any interested schools or organisations who wish to host a similar talk session on BIM can reach us via email at enquiry@nrasb.com.my for further arrangements.
