Online Research Interview on BIM by a TARUC Student

August 3, 2021 Activities, Announcement 0

As among the front-runners of BIM in architecture, NRY Architects has been in the limelight of many practitioners and researchers in the industry. Building Information Modelling is the latest digital disruption in architecture and construction technologies that have revolutionised the way architecture and construction projects are designed and managed effectively while accelerating project productivity and converging greater collaborations.

As such, a similar topic has been explored by a Quantity Surveying student from the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARUC), Kuala Lumpur main campus for his project dissertation with the research title of “Technical and Legal Risks of Implementing Building Information Modelling (BIM) in Malaysian AEC Industry”.

The approximately 1-hour session was attended by our Head of BIM Department, Ts. Muhammad Hazim Azami who has shared his knowledge and insights based on the questions forwarded by the student, Lok Zhen Teng. The questions that arise were mainly related to technical and legal risks in the BIM framework while investigating the risk response strategies implemented by the industry practitioners.

Moving forward, NRY Architects, through our niche BIM Department, is inviting and welcome any possible discourses or collaborations with any interested parties with regard to BIM teaching & learning and its execution in the architecture and construction industry.
