Also known as the Eid al-Adha, it is another important Islamic celebration that falls on the 10th Dhu’l-Hijjah, in the final month of the Islamic calendar. It is celebrated on the day after Arafah Day, a day when the Hajj pilgrimage will observe the wuqf, a key ritual during the Hajj. During Eid al-Adha, Muslims are also encouraged to slaughter permissible domesticated animals and share them with the poor people in the community.
