The world’s fashion mogul, Giorgio Armani is a discernible name of the sleek and luxurious fashion brand. Transcending the conventional houte couture produces, the Italian-origin brand has translated its fashion design philosophy into the food & beverages, property and hospitality industries. These include the upmarket hotel collection of Armani Hotels.
A design proposal has been prepared by NRY with the concept of introducing the Armani Hotel brand to Kuala Lumpur. The location was proposed at Lot 51 KLCC, parallel to the world’s tallest twin building, fringed by the urban green park and convention centre of the precinct.
Stands at 57 storeys, the Armani Hotel was designed to accommodate 200 rooms of Armani-themed design, serviced residential units with a multitude of recreational and convention facilities. Located at Level 9, an elongated swimming pool will be provided next to the expansive deck with other facilities and multipurpose rooms. While at both Level 32 and 57, a sky deck and other facilities are outlined, leveraging the breathtaking city view from atop. Several function rooms and ballrooms will be designed at Level 7 as a public accessibility zone.
As the name depicts, the hotel interior and finish design will be emulated based on the simplicity and elegance of Armani’s design philosophy, with imbued elements of local culture. The building’s external and façade design will bear this design statement, with a sleek glass curtain façade wall crisscrossed with refined horizontal and diagonal elements of the louvres and tower pinnacle.
