Stands still in the neighbourhood of Taman Cahaya in Ampang since the 1990s, the Galaxy Ampang Mall has been synonymous with the local populace as a popular neighbourhood mall. The mammoth complex once hosts several well-known eateries, local grocery stores and a much-celebrated Cineplex.

Despite the strong patron of the local community, the mall stands odd against the time and tide as its charm has started to wane. To revitalise the mall, a regeneration and redevelopment plan has been proposed to upgrade and uplift the mall building. Capitalising its strategic location with easy access to the MRR2 Highway and Ampang LRT station, the redevelopment poised to rejuvenate Galaxy Ampang Mall as a communal commercial hub.

The existing seven-storey retail will be converted into the four storeys of retail outlets, while the remaining upper floors will be turned into Small Office Home Office (SoHo) units with a cinema. To further boost the mall traffic, three tower blocks accommodating serviced apartments and boutique hotel will be erected on top of the retail podium.

Inspired by the elegant modern living, the mall will be embellished with vibrant and active retail space, in terms of its layout design and finishes. Similarly for the serviced apartments and boutique hotels, the urban lifestyle will be transpired into the chic and classy interiors, with an open plan concept for the office and business suites. The Galaxy Ampang Mall is re-envisioned as a complete lifestyle hub for the neighbourhood of Ampang and its surrounding environs.
