The Gleneagles Medini Hospital is designed to be a healing environment reflecting its focus on its patients, caregivers, and the medical community. The building design embraces the dignity of each individual and puts them at ease despite the hospital setting.

The hospital is located in the heart of Medini in Iskandar Puteri of Johor, and enjoys easy access to public transportation and pedestrian networks. The surrounding land use is a mix of medium and high density residential, commercial mixed-use, and a few institutional uses. There are dedicated parks within close proximity of the site which the future hospital can capitalise on.

The hospital is designed to be a green and contemporary building. The façade of the buildings is treated with a variety of screens as well as protruding landscape balconies. The screens hug the building at one moment but peel away in another, forming a pulsating façade which defines a conducive microclimate behind it to support green terraces for patients and building users. It also modulates and filters daylight into softer, diffused light into the interior.
