Rapid tourism development has spurred the growth of new hotel developments in urban areas. In the main Central Business District (CBD) of Kuala Lumpur, a new hotel was envisaged that reflected both the luxurious lifestyle and high-fashion elegance. Strategically located in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) precinct, the hotel will further add to the exhaustive list of hotel offerings in the vicinity.

A design proposal has been prepared by NRY Architects with the concept of introducing a well-known fashion hotel brand to Kuala Lumpur. The proposed location parallels the world’s tallest twin building, fringed by the urban green park and convention centre of the precinct.

Stands at 57 storeys, the proposed hotel was designed to accommodate 200 rooms of high-fashion design, serviced residential units with a multitude of recreational and convention facilities. Located at Level 9, an elongated swimming pool will be provided next to the expansive deck with other facilities and multipurpose rooms. While at both Level 32 and 57, a sky deck and other facilities are outlined, leveraging the breathtaking city view from atop. Several function rooms and ballrooms will be designed at Level 7 as a public accessibility zone.

As the hotel presents, the hotel interior and finish design will be emulated based on the simplicity and elegance of high fashion design philosophy, with imbued elements of local culture. The building’s external and façade design will bear this design statement, with a sleek glass curtain façade wall crisscrossed with refined horizontal and diagonal elements of the louvres and tower pinnacle.
