PROJECTS > Residential > Oasia Suites Kuala Lumpur

Oasia Hotels and Serviced Residences, the international hospitality brand under the Singapore-based Far East Hospitality Group, has aggressively expanded in the region with the inception of Oasia Suites in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Located in the Golden Triangle district of Kuala Lumpur, Oasia Suites sits in a former high-rise office tower called the Atrium Plaza.

Soars handsomely at the foot of Bukit Nanas on Lorong P. Ramlee, it majestically overlooks the city’s iconic landmark of KL Tower and also borders the world’s only urban tropical rainforest reserve, the KL Eco Forest Park.  Sited on a sloping triangular-shaped site, the building footprint responded and maximised the site layout.

Despite the site constraints, by leveraging on its key location in the city, the new owner decided to refurbish and redevelop the former 23-storey office tower by adapting it to be re-used as a serviced apartment with a new annexe building of 34 storeys. Though it may look like two tower blocks attached together, it has been designed as one single block with two rooftop floors.

Keeping with the context of its surrounding buildings, the façade design employs glass and aluminium materials in the forms of glass curtain wall and a full-height window wall with horizontal sun shading devices. The building transparency optimising the panoramic vista of the site context for the residents to enjoy and higher building visibility externally.
