On the 13th of February 2023, NRY Architects hosted the first session of their Design Discourse Series, where architects and designers gathered to discuss their experiences and insights on various design projects. The session was held at NRY Architects’ office and was led by the Design Department of NRY Architects, headed by Pn. Siti Nor Suzana Yazid.

The first session of the Design Discourse Series featured Ar. Devakumar Shamugam, who presented on the LRT3 project. The LRT3 is a proposed light rail transit system that will connect the western corridor of Klang Valley. Ar. Devakumar, who is part of the team responsible for designing the project, shared his experiences and challenges faced during the planning and design process.

Around 20 architects participated in the session, and they engaged in a lively discussion on the challenges and opportunities of designing large-scale infrastructure projects like the LRT3. The attendees found the session informative and engaging, and they expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to learn from Ar. Devakumar’s experiences.

The event was accompanied by a light breakfast, which was provided to all participants. The food and beverage were much appreciated by the attendees, and it has added a nice touch to the already engaging event. The series provides a great opportunity for architects and designers to share their knowledge and learn from each other.
