The most awaited annual festivity of Hari Raya is back again. After two years of muted celebration, this year marks the first celebration in the endemic phase all over the country. NRY Architects is no exception, as after the long week holiday of Hari Raya in the first week of May, the NRY CREWS committee members have planned and arranged for the grand celebration of Hari Raya.

Held at the NRY office on 26th May 2022, the committee has come up with the ‘Dazzling Raya’ theme, reflecting the joyous, sparkling and merrier celebration of Hari Raya. The celebration saw the office lobby and the lift lobby area of Level 15 turned into a large dining and gathering area. Once an office area was converted into a unique festive area, with a moon crescent sculpture as the centrepiece for the Raya backdrop decoration.

During the event, to usher the celebratory mood, the logo design entries of the logo design contest were also displayed and posted on the Conference Room 2 wall. In conjunction with the 30th anniversary of NRY Architects, an anniversary logo design contest was held last May 2022. The contest was open to all NRY staff and was an avenue to hone their graphic and artistic skills. More news about the contest is shared in other news.

Opening remarks by Faradila

The event begins with opening remarks by the Head of Welfare Bureau, as the Chief PIC for this event, Faradila, followed by a doa recitation led by Afifudin. As soon as the prayer ended, everyone was gushing to the food table for the lunch feast. Amongst the menus served were satay, lemang, ketupat, nasi tomato, laksa, grilled mutton, pudding and various types of traditional kuehs.

Similar to Buka Puasa gathering, everyone was so pumped up to dress their best to impress the judges for the best dress contest. The male staff looked handsomely don their full set of Baju Melayu, while the ladies wore their most impressive traditional dresses, baju kurung and baju kebaya. At around 1.30 pm, the winners were announced by Faradila, as Hisyam Hassan and Nurulhidayah were chosen as the best dresses for both male and female categories. Hisyam wears green Baju Melayu set, while Nurul dons a modern Baju Kurung, and they both received RM 100 cash prize each.

Everyone was not spared a chance to take photos at the dazzling Raya backdrop setup, as the group photos were taken according to the studio mates/department members.

As usual, the event concluded with a big group photo session, as the staff members were both exhilarated and replete by the delicious delicacies.
