Another NRY CREWS’ annual must-have activity was held in the month of November 2022. Deemed as the second last activity of the year, badminton is the second indoor sports activity that was organised by the Sports Bureau after the bowling tournament last June 2022.

The tournament is the culmination of the weekly badminton games that are held every Wednesday. Around 36 players participated in the tournament, and they were divided into six big groups. Each group was competing for the overall tally points. Held at the Setapak Badminton Centre in Kuala Lumpur, the tournament was conducted over two days after working hours, from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm.

The tournament was also proudly sponsored by the Niro Ceramic Group, a supplier of tile-finishing products, showcasing a cordial relationship between the club and other players in the industry. After smashing shuttlecocks and honing their badminton skills, the tournament came to an end on 16th Nov.  Team 5 emerged as the overall champion, bringing back the main trophy and other attractive prizes, which was presented by Niro’s representative, Ms. Jin Yen. While Teams 3 and 1 grabbed the first and second runner-up positions, followed by Teams 2, 4 and 6.

The tournament was not only the time for our staff to unleash their sporting skills but also an avenue to foster team and good sporting spirits among the staff members of NRY Architects. An active and healthy body and soul are not simply rewarding, but also such valuable assets to the company and society! Till we meet again in other sporting events next year.
