Research on Car-Free Cities with UPM Student

May 5, 2023 Activities, Announcement 0

As part of the continuous CSR education effort of NRY Architects, we are always welcome and support various architectural education activities. Recently, a final year architecture student from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) had approached us for an online research interview on his dissertation topic on car-free cities.

Our Head of Design, Puan Suzana Yazid had the pleasure and opportunity to attend to this request that was lasting for about an hour, as Suzana shared her thoughts on the car-free cities and sustainable development, from an architectural perspective. Many research questions were raised which were revolved around the sustainability issues like public transportation, mobile working arrangements and so on.

The student named Noel Chee is a Year 5 architecture student of the UPM’s Faculty of Design and Architecture, who was doing a dissertation subject for his Master of Architecture studies at UPM. Practitioners’ input is imperative as much as other data sources, and hence, we are always welcome for any educational engagement from students of the built environment schools local or aboard. And to Noel, wishing you all the best in your architectural thesis!
