UTM Doctorate Research Study on Construction 4.0

August 17, 2021 Activities, Announcement 0

The fast-paced development of the construction industry today has been largely driven by technological advances and innovation. It involves the multi-facets of the construction industry, from the software and application, construction materials, site and project management, and many others, as part and parcel of the imminent Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0).

This advancement, also known as Construction 4.0, is being studied by a doctorate student from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in developing a model for companies that can be widely implemented. As such, our Head of BIM Department, Ts. Muhammad Hazim Azami has shared his views and experience related to the application of Building Information Modelling (BIM).

Throughout the session, a Ph.D. candidate from Jordan, Husam Mansour has hosted the online workshop session and interviewed Ts. Hazim in finding the most applicable approach in multi-criteria decision-making for the 4th Construction Revolution using intellectual capital perspective. We wish all the best and flying colours to Husam in completing his doctorate studies.

NRY Architects, through our purposely-established BIM Department, is kindly welcomed any proposed discourses or collaborations on the BIM learning & sharing and its implementation in the architecture and construction industry with any interested parties from all sectors.
